Linda draws examples from her work with all kinds of people to illustrate ways to apply interpersonal skills. She also customizes each Let’s Talk program so that participants work on situations directly relevant to their work environments. In these ways she makes her communication training engrossing and practical.

 Testimonials

The “Effective Communication for Leaders” course that I took with Linda Andrews has helped me tremendously in my new position as Director of Nursing. Before Linda’s class, I had problems communicating in that I used to get defensive. Linda’s class taught me techniques to overcome my defensiveness. I am better able to communicate with my staff, patients, and physicians. Staff have told me that I am easy to talk to and they feel that I listen to them.

Welcome to The Center for Workplace Learning! During the three years we have coordinated workplace education programs in the Lewiston/Auburn area, we have called Ms. Andrews five times at both manufacturing and health care sites. Her classes were so successful at the manufacturing site that the employer hired her on a contract basis…

Ms. Andrews has earned my unqualified recommendation and respect as an instructor/trainer…

USM: University of Southern Maine [logo] At Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers, Linda taught three, ten-week sessions of basic communication and then did a three-week small group/individual coaching session. Linda’s ability to work with the employees, from production workers to senior management, showed understanding of the needs of the manufacturing environment. All of the classroom work revolved around “real life” work situations. Linda handled all of these classroom challenges with a very high degree of professionalism.

MaineGeneral Health | A Resource for life. The Let’s Talk model of communicating gives each of us the ability to look at how we talk with each other and provides an alternative. It removes all the defensive barriers that get in the way. As the manager, I can see the team growing in a positive way. They are now becoming empowered to talk with each other about problems, listening to alternatives, and doing what is best for the patient. Thank you, Linda.
